Nothing can be compared with the wild exotic world in the Danube Delta where live together at least 1200 species of trees and plants the hide Europe's richest ornithological and ichthyological fauna.
Unique pelican colonies live in "companionship" with other 300 species of birds and of course other approximately 100 species of underwater creatures among which are a lot of sturgeons, caviar makers, and the Danube herring with it's delicious taste.
Included in UNESCO along with the biospheres reservations, since 1990, we can safely say that it is the biggest reservation in the moist lands of Europe blue-green "unveiling" of about 2681 square kilometers, protected still by the industrialization "attack". The evolution of the Delta started about 13 000 years ago and still carries on today. On the Delta's territory exist over 30 very different ecosystems.
